I carry it in the trunk of my car and ride on the streets around my office and home and on paced trails Dahon Eco 3 is extremely stable and versatile to ride It has the look and the feel that begs you to take it for a spin even if you are not an avid bicyclist Just one try will convince you this is not just a toy but a fun bike to own and ride Anyone less than 6 feet 4 inches can comfortably ride this bike but be sure you don t weigh more than 230 pounds per the manufacturer s specifications For me this is another worthy incentive to weigh less than 230 pounds
Having written on all these nice things about the Eco 3 in my humble opinion there are a few things every potential buyer needs to know before buying it This bike is ideal for short distances say less than 20 miles of non stop riding on fairly flat grounds Even the 7 speed is not enough to ease you up a steep grade without you getting winded While riding your right leg pant bottom tend to get caught on the folding mechanism and can rip your pants Ripped trousers are not cool when you are to or from or around workplace Dahon really needs to remedy this flaw for their 2010 models
Dahon should spec this bike with wireless computer/odometer and an optional shock absorbing saddle for a more comfortable ride
Would I purchase this bike again Would I recommend it to friends and contacts The answers are definitely YES YES

Mongoose Fireline 26 Men s Full Suspension Mountain Bike >> ok bike this bike is not bad for the price if you want it just to ride around your house this is the bike for you perfect but if you want it to actually go to the mountains like i did get a different bike my star falling apart after the 3 time i used plus it is very heavy thanks >> Disappointing The frame is of high quality and the graphics are very nice but the good pretty much ends there The packaging was so flimsy that it left the frame scarred and worn fresh out of the box I wanted to do some customizing but the bolts and nuts were torqued down so tight that a pneumatic impact wrench couldn t remove some of them I had to cut them off with a dremel tool and buy replacements The disc brake on the front wheel is so warped that no amount of adjustment will keep it from rubbing as the wheel turns thus zapping your energy Also it recommends tire pressure between 40 65 psi That was quite a range so I went with 50 psi Within a few minutes before I had even got on the bike the front tire tube blew Also the bolt to hold on the water bottle holder that it came with were not long enough to grab so I had to replace it The seat is garbage plan on replacing it as well the planet bike seat that is recommended by Amazon with this is Very Nice Other than that its fine >> Purchased TWO CB and I purchased two of these bikes for ourselves We had the Lamborgini bikes but returned them due to what we felt was poor quality I am so pleased with these bikes The construction is great Quality is great This is a very rugged terrain bike that we have been fully enjoying this past summer around our log home property It fits nicely on the bike rack for our travels to our other home in Vermont I highly recommend this bike to anyone who is an avid outdoor type person who enjoys mountain biking

Ezip 900 Electric Scooter >> ezip 900 electric scooter I purchased an ezip 900 scooter back in February because I was on crutches and didn t want to use them at work and walking the dog I was surprised at the amount of power and simplicity of operation I was very happy with the scooter until last week when the scooter suddenly stopped working When I would twist the throttle I would only get the yellow and red lights and an audible click Knowing how a DC wiring system works from having boats I decided to troubleshoot the problem before calling tech support What I found was the jumper wire between the batteries the wire connecting the positive terminal on the one battery to the negative terminal on the other battery to make the 24 volts was broken at the negative terminal What happened was the wire makes a turn at the terminal and this puts pressure on the wire and caused a break in the wire and also at the female plug This might be a problem on some other 900 s The easy way to fix this is to get some 10 guage wire with 2 female clips use 10 guage because when you are using full power going up a hill it can carry the current cooler and eliminates the problem of overheating the wire and make a new jumper Be sure to measure and leave enough wire to make bend easier I tried the scooter after the fix and really put it through its paces going up hills and using full power as much as possible It works like a charm Overall I am happy with the scooter and would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a scooter By the way I an 70 years old and weigh 235 pounds and it carries me with no problem Weight is no problem also I fold the handlebars down and lift it into the back of my SUV to take it to work and back >> Only a fool would say this scooter is not good OMG let me just say WOW I owned an ezip 400 for school at UCLA but it just wasnt cutting the hills on campus and would shut down on me if I pushed the motor So I bought the ezip 900 and this thing was made for hills and everything I also get a lot of attention with the scooter when I ride it like questions and comments Luckily I live in California so scooters are treated like bikes I was going to get the 1000 but I prefer a chain drive because I like to free wheel down hill If you shut off the engine when going down hill you have gravity take over which is fun Anyway Im happy with the scooter only a fool would complain about it Also the person who complained about putting it together BHAHAHAHAHA Whats so hard about screwing in the front wheel and handlebars This is a great buy you wont be sorry >> A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY If I had known what a piece of crap this thing was before I bought it I would have burned the money first At least I could have warmed my hands by the fire The instructions for assembly are about as easy to comprehend as a fire drill in the state asylum So completely frustrated was I by the so called easy to assemble instructions that rather than return it I tossed it in the garbage I am second to none in my ability to follow instructions not matter what the product and in my 57 years I have NEVER had a problem putting anything together from computers to bicycles If you want an electric scooter or bicycle buy it from a local dealer that will assemble it and take responsibility for the quality and servicing of the product PLEASE DON T BUY ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY CURRIE UNLESS YOURE A MASOCHIST OR YOU VE GOT MONEY TO BURN I ll say it again WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP

HOWEVER There are many times that the watch has sat in my desk drawer waiting for parts while my G Shock and Timex IronMan carry the load Today is one of those times The Observer s wrist strap breaks every 18 24 months and that occurs even with preventative maintenance on the band on a weekly basis The replacement straps cost 40 My straps have broken for the 4th time So if you think that a 20/year cost of ownership on top of the price of the watch is a good bargain then get this watch If not then get something that is a one time investment only and doesn t require a hotline to the Suunto replacement parts store >> Solid and reliable I love this watch I purchased it sometime back in 2002 and I ve worn it almost every day since It has been a fantastic watch It looks great in casual wear and it looks great dressed up However being an avid hiker and outdoorsman I need reliability in the functions advertised with the watch Overall my expectations have been met
The biggest complaint I have with the watch is the compass It needs to be calibrated often Further any tilt of the watch can change the reading on the compass by as much as 10 degrees Because there is no bubble on the display to make sure the watch is level it s not reliable for accurate readings I wouldn t use the compass for more than just a general sense of direction Also the compass is highly affected by metal nearby including the buckle on your belt or a metal frame pack you might be wearing For me the digital compass in this watch is nothing more than a toy not an instrument
The barometer and as a result the altimeter have been a bit flaky at times as well However this has generally been the exception rather than the rule I ll notice that my altitude will read substantially higher or lower than what it should be and when changing profiles to the barometer I ll see it s quite off from a standard mercury reading Again though this hasn t happened much With the amount of hiking I do I m more interested in my rate of ascent and descent anyway rather than the actual altitude and it s been spot on in that regard
The thermometer has been dead on accurate within a degree or two every time I ve relied on it For me it s been the most outstanding feature of the watch I ve also used the logging capabilities reading back past climbs and descents including rates of change This has been valuable as well I haven t used the stopwatch much and find it a bit awkward to use when I do
I love the weight and size of the watch I have a friend who owns a Suunto Vector and the watch is HUGE Also it feels light and cheap although I know better For me this watch isn t too big it fits very well on the wrist and it has a nice solid weight to it Some might claim it s too heavy but I like the feel Also it s gotten some great comments from various people and always sparks a great conversation
After almost 8 years of owning this watch I finally sent it in for cleaning and light repairs I m confident that I will be wearing this watch for another 8 years It s easily surpassed all my expectations and for the 380 I spent on the watch I ve definitely gotten my money s worth out of it When/if it keels over I ll likely replace it with another Observer ST

GREAT PRICE >> Should have bought the T 8 Air I ve owned an old style T 8 with the polyurethane wheels for almost a year Though I liked it it seemed too much like a toy and I wanted something more substantial Everything that I read Trikketalk etc led me to believe that the T 12 was the Cadillac of the Trikke line smooth easy quiet and fast This is NOT the case in fact it is vastly less efficient than my old t 8 less efficient requiring greater energy expense to cover the same distance This makes it substantially harder to ride than the t 8 It is just plain exhausting
I checked to make sure that there wasn t a problem with my particular T 12 I checked that the bushings were not too tight OK that the brakes weren t rubbing OK that I had the recommended 75psi front and 80psi rear OK everything checked out fine so I posted my concerns on Trikketalk The general thrust of the replies is that the T 12 really is bigger slower and harder to get going than any Trikke in the line and that I just need to get used to it So it is a Cadillac all right but instead of driving it it feels like I am behind it pushing it Uphill With it in Park
On other subjects it is very well built there is no flex or shimmy when I am on it and I am 6 0 200 lbs Putting it together was straightforward however you need to carefully study the instructions on brake adjustments if you are going to set them yourself
The thing that keeps my rating from falling below a 3 is this the T 12 IS IN FACT a good workout I do intend on sticking with it however it will stay just that A Workout Device For fun and riding enjoyment I wish I would have bought the T 8 air which would have been the sweet spot between effort comfort ease of use and speed Not to mention less expensive by more than 100 00

I have now been riding the T 12 for over a year I take it out three times a week 10 miles each ride I also rotate that same 10 mile path between roller skates and a bicycle The T 12 is STILL too big too bulky too cumbersome too arduous and too hard to move to be anything other than a Workout Device And this is from someone who is now 6 0 185 lb As a Workout Device it is very good I still have no complaints about it s build workmanship or sturdiness But because the T 12 is none the less limited in it s role I find that I still use the T 8 Poly for general riding around Now more than a year down the road I still feel that the T 8 would have been a better choice one that hits the target of being a multipurpose Trikke nimble enough to kick around town and heavy enough for working out
>> The ultimate trikke experience for now Trikke 12 is the high end model in the trikke series I have started on a Trikke 8 and then I made my way up to T12 T12 is higher but heavier at the same time which means that it requires more energy when starting but it also has more inertia which means that it is easier to maintain speed when cruising The ride is faster and much smoother than the T8 because of the size of the wheels Beware though faster means that you spend more energy which is why the official advertising is not for the faint of heart It is only slightly wider than the T8 but it needs more turning space Not really a problem if you have wide asphalt where it is a lot of fun it climbs hills easier than the T8 but it is less maneuvrable in tight spaces such as climbing on a narrow sidewalk This model is the only one so far with disc brakes which makes it safer knowing that you can really brake when you need and therefore gives you more confidence at higher speed and on downhills The handlebar grips as shown in the picture are terrible they make a good picture but they are very uncomfortable I hope Trikke will change them to something more ergonomic I did it myself This detail would not lower it from 5 stars The last word of advice I know there are people out there who want to buy the best thing from the start Then they sell them on EBay because they were not able to learn how to use them Just like with alpine skiing BTW it feels very similar where you have skis for beginners and intermediate you do not start straight on racing skis my advice for beginners is to start with a T8 or T78 and then when you got the hang of it move to the T12

Does not stop the second hand in the dark The old model would quit ticking when the lights went out I never minded that the second hand stopped it ensured that I never heard the ticking at night Fortunately the new model is absolutely silent
Requires the crown to be pulled out in order to change modes On the older model one could just twist the crown without pulling it out The new way is a minor inconvenience At least the new crown is larger with better texture so it s much easier to pull out
Has white numbers painted on a plastic black bezel for the E6B circular slide rule flight computer These are easier to read than the prior edition s black numbers engraved in titanium but I doubt they will last as long

Canon 10x42 L Image Stabilization Waterproof Binoculars >> Good but with flaws ok First of all I have owned these for 3/4 years with no problems So whoever said reliability might be a problem well I haven t had this problem
Second the lens caps are USELESS good for making yourself angry That s it They fall off and won t even stay on inside the bag
Third optics are very good maybe 4 stars but L L stands for professional and for someone who has L glass for camera lenses this is NOT the same It s good but honestly I have a pair of Nikons that I paid 200 for and the difference isn t that big
IS is GREAT awesome to have gets rid of headaches helps you see things clearly it makes a HUGE difference HUGE
maintenance washing them is a pain if you have hard water forget it you ll get residue everywhere and it s hard to get out Use only distilled water when you clean them Also even the lens cleaner will leave marks on the glass
eyecups uncomfortable I can only use them with the eyecups unscrewed all the way out dust gets inside easily and cleaning see right above
Optically I would give them 4 Image stabilization makes them really nice to use 5
But price/quality lags cleaning and things like the lens covers etc make me give it only 3 If I pay 1200 for binoculars they SHOULD be perfect >> Canon 10x42 This is excelent product but it seems Profecional level item or luxery level so it is kind of pricy for regular family usage anyway I like it but it is too expensive for me Canon 10x42 L Image Stabilization Waterproof Binoculars >> Not as good as the 12x for birders Most of the reviews I see for IS binoculars are by and for plane spotters and other non birders so I wanted to add the wildlife viewing perspective to the mix
I have owned 2 different pairs of the 12x Cannon IS Binoculars one pair of the 15x Cannon IS binos and I have tested the 10x42 L series high end geared towards birders I will cross post these comments for all three For any of you birders out there trying to decide which is the right choice for you here are my observations
First general comments that apply to all three 1 Image stabilization is great There is nothing not to love about it Why all birders on earth don t use these things is a mystery to me For the money I would prefer to spend an extra 200 on image stabilization vs spending an extra 1000 for a comparable improvement in optics quality 2 These binoculars are heavy and bulky The grip the feel and the ease of use are different than those of normal high end binoculars The human factors of the engineering range from acceptable 12x to incomprehensibly bad 10x I suspect that experienced birders may pick them up for the first time and not like them because they don t feel right Here s my thought it is worth the 1 2 hours it takes to get used to them because it will change the way you bird For example YOU DO NOT NEED TO CARRY A SCOPE in many circumstances which is huge They may be slightly heavy for binos but they are much lighter than binos plus a scope and tripod 3 it is easy to underestimate the benefit and power of IS until you have used it for a while in the field For example when you are looking for a bird that is mostly hidden in leaves and occassionally pops into view these guys are great The slight vibration in your hand means that you need to see an image longer for the brain to decipher the image When it is stabilized you can see it in a flash You will be able to scan a flock of shorebirds at distance in a fraction of the time it takes someone with a scope You can see details on a bird moving 100ft above in the canopy that are utterly impossible with normal binoculars 4 THink of them as ELECTRONICS not optics These will not be passed on to your grandchildren They will last 3 5 years depending on how hard you use them Don t bother trying to get them fixed because it is uneconomical outside of the warranty period Don t buy them if you are uncomfortable with the cost because you may need to replace them in the not to distant future That said reliability has been okay for mine I have dropped them gotten them throughly wet for hours taken them to high altitudes and exposed them to a wide range of temperatures without any issues One 12x pair developed a rattle and subsequently a hiccup in the IS When I openned them up not recommended I found that a couple of screws fell out I don t know where the screws came from and don t really care because now they work fine again
Here is a comparison of the various models
12x the normal rule of thumb for birders with conventional binoculars is that 8 10x is about right in terms of image stability weight field of view and magnification With IS binoculars the equation is a little different You can have image stability at any magnification so it comes down to weight field of view and magnification For me the winner is the 12x You will have a little extra trouble finding a fast moving bird especially at close range due to the smaller field of view vs typical 10x However it is strong enough to allow me to leave my scope at home for most purposes it is equivalent to about a 15 18x conventional scope The eyepieces are comfortable and the field of view is acceptable My primary compaint is that the close limit of focus is too far for comfortable use in close quarters like dense rainforest These binos seem rugged and reliable
15x optimal for pelagic birding gulls and shorebirding but the field of view and range of focus don t work well for normal birding On a boat nobody else will be able to see the stuff you see period It is like having a scope when everyone else is using 8x bins In these circumstances the relatively limited field of view is not an issue and the extra magnification is great These are much larger and heavier than the 12x and you wouldn t want to carry these on a 10 mile hike although it would beat hiking 10 miles with a scope My main complaint and it is a big one is that the eyepieces are attrociously uncomfortable for my eyes Presumably they must be comfortable for someone like the engineer who designed them but not for me I had to replace them with eyepieces of my own because they are intollerable
10x These are fantastic Pros smaller lighter than the 12x Wider field of view and better close focus Cons 1 very expensive 2 eyepieces that are as bad or worse than those on the 15x which is why I don t own a pair I think perhaps Cannon made these because they found in their market surveys that birders want 10x binos I suspect they haven t sold many at the 1 100 price point given the Human factors issues I personally would advise birds to not buy these unless they are willing to replace the eyepieces and better yet just get the 12x Hopefully the next version will address these issues because the IS technology and the optics are great

BodyCraft VR100 Rowing Machine >> Looks great for the target market which is the average moron that has no clue how to row Probably the only thing they got right on this rower is the huge seat for the fat butts that are going to use it You want to row Get a concept 2 learn how to row catch drive release and GIVE ME SOME FRIGGEN POWER 30 s God I miss the 1 hour erg workouts in the freezing shellhouse miss my 1 16 500m too rofl >> BodyCraft VR100 Review I ve had the VR100 for a little over a week now I ve used it for thirty minutes every day I m very satisfied with it I had used a Concept II Model D owned by a friend on several occassions and had originally thought that I would buy one of those However the Concept II is more than two feet longer than the VR100 and that was an issue for me The VR100 is a solid machine The only reservations I have is the pull mechanizim Whereas the Concept II uses a chain the VR100 uses a nylon strap about an inch or so wide I just wonder if it is as durable in this application as a chain I know that a chain can wear out too especially if it is not lubricated periodically Time will tell
The only weakness in the VR100 is the computer It s very basic but it does the job for me I find that if I just monitor the strokes per minute I can use that to control my effort while watching my heart rate The VR100 computer can monitor the heart rate if you buy the optional chest strap I didn t because it is suppose to be compatible with the Polar straps It is compatible but if you get too far away from the computer it can t pick it up I called BodyCraft customer service They told me the Polar unit I have T 31 is only good up to three feet While you are rowing you tend to get further than three feet from the computer so it doesn t work well That s not a big issue for me because I m still wearing my watch and it picks up the heart rate just fine It has many more features related to monitoring the heart rate
Bottom line I m glad I bought it instead of the Concept II It s much more compact and it gives me the kind of work out that I wanted

To row the standard 2000m distance on the BodyCraft VR100 takes EXACTLY two hundred and twenty strokes It does not matter if you take 220 long powerful strokes or 220 stunted one foot strokes the computer always displays 2 km Nor is it responsive to resistance 220 strokes at the highest resistance level gives you 2 km as it does at the very lowest resistance level Also according to the computer you burn 6 calories for every stroke it does not matter if they are long and laborious or short and effortless Clearly the manufacturers installed a dummy computer to fool unwitting buyers in no way does it measure power like a real ergometer
Thus the exerciser has ALMOST NO CLUE about his performance and fitness The computer is nothing more than a stroke counter and a clock The stroke rate indicator is fickle and nearly useless and the speed is also made up How can you measure speed without measuring power
What s left A rolling seat with a handle Perhaps this part of the unit could be worth say 300 the construction looks solid Some people can live without a computer and just need something for a proper workout But maddening quirks ensure the unit gives you nothing resembling an actual rowing experience Good indoor machines already have enough trouble in this regard
The foot braces They swivel about and envelop the whole foot On real boats and proper rowing machines the feet are strapped onto a fixed plate The strap holds down only the ball of the foot allowing the heel to come up at the catch when the rower is stretching forward about to pull Since the ball of the foot is fixed firmly to the boat all the rower s energy flows into the boat when he begins the leg drive On the BodyCraft the entire foot pivots How can you row with no fixed surface to push against
The flywheel It is mounted very close to the track making it very easy to bump into at the catch This is infuriating
Resistance The oars of a rowing shell at speed provide surprisingly little resistance a high cadence is the key to going fast and getting a good cardio workout Resistance on the BodyCraft is huge only the bottom two resistance levels resemble anything like an actual boat and poorly at that Plus a nearby electric fan was all it took to permanently increase the magnetic resistance on my VR100 making it even more useless
Why waste 700 for this piece of junk Buy a new or used Concept2

After wearing this watch for 1 2 years I found the digital clock out of sync with the analog clock For example the digital clock shows 9 00 but the analog hands show 9 02 A short call to the Tissot Customer Support fixed the problem They showed me how to re sync the two They said it is caused by de magnetization Not sure if that is true but at least I can fix it
It is a men s watch but is still wearable on a slender woman s wrist The strap is adjusted by cutting off the extra rubber with scissors
Despite several shortcomings I still find this watch stylish and uilitarian Many people comment on the watch It is definitely an attention catcher

I can t say that the Trikke offers the best full body workout that you can get but it has got to be pretty close I really don t know a single part of the body that isn t used I can even target the upper body workout by changing the height of the handle bars Once you get the hang of this thing you find yourself in a rhythm that is similar to skiing the slalom The inflatable tires grip so well that you can really carve without the fear of a crash
The Trikke is not the perfect vehicle for every location It s really the most fun on relatively flat surfaces with little wind in the face It also require a bit more lateral room than a bike does tough to use on tight roadways without designated bike paths I will actually wait until the afternoon winds die down and ride in the evenings on occasion Early morning rides are also great the workout will fuel you throughout the day I went out and bought a Garmin GPS/Heart Rate monitor so I could maintain a good level of fat burning It s easy but I always want to go faster and faster
The only drawback to the Trikke is that your riding will constantly be interrupted by curious strangers who want to know more about the crazy looking device I even got pulled over by the police a few months back the cop wanted to know where he could get one No joke
If your riding environment is decent there is no better or enjoyable type of workout The only piece of equipment that might be just as fun is something called the Elliptigo Check it out but don t pass by the Trikke 8 on the way

I am only new to backpacking but I knew investing in a good pack was the smart thing to do and it paid off out on the trail Expecting to have all sorts of aches and pains returning from my four day hike I was again surprised to find my pack had done its job to perfection Barring one sore muscle from my own ineptitude I was fine no back pain no nothing Even though as a novice I over prepared and ended up with far too much weight
It features top load front load and bottom load so you can reach any piece of equipment easily at any time It has water bladder storage It has two nifty belt pouches for candies or perhaps a digital camera all which are well designed and durable The top can detach to double as a day pack although I have yet to see a practical use for this
While looking for a good pack I typed Best backpack into Google and came across a consumer research page whereby they had gathered information from as many sources as possible on the best backpacks here is an excerpt taken directly from that site Some brands stand out however especially Gregory Osprey and Arc Teryx An older survey of through hikers on the Appalachian Trail by Roland Mueser found that hikers were most satisfied with Gregory backpacks and it continues to be one of the brands most recommended in backpack reviews
Apparently the delight with Gregory stems from their durability They need less repairs and maintenance than other brands I can t attest to this but again the construction is definitely solid
All in all I m delighted with this item We ll see over time how it holds up but at this point I would have no desire to change this for anything else

Ironmaster 75 lb Quick Lock Adjustable Dumbbell System >> Glad I Made the Right Decision Considering the hours I have to go to the gym are mainly when they are closed or would take too much time away from my home life I decided to buy some dumbbells At first I figured I would go with hex dumbbells I mean you can t beat the old solid pieces of metal right
The problems I was running into were the cheapest set I could find was 550 and they only went from 5 50 lbs I need around 65 lbs for my heaviest exercises So I would have had to spend an extra 360 to bring my set up to that point Plus it seems like it would take up a little bit of room and I would still have to buy a stand and a weight bench
So I started looking at the Bowflex adjustables and went to Sport s Authority to try them out As anyone who has seen these can tell you they were way too long at the lower weights and didn t feel solid to me at all
While looking at reviews of Powerblocks on YouTube I saw what looked like spam mentioning ironmasters are teh best check them out I figured what the heck and after a quick Google search I found their site
Boy did I make the right decision Obviously a product with this many positive reviews is doing something right These weights are solid they scale up as you add more weight they don t have more than a two foot square footprint they seem to be pretty durable they go up to 70 lbs they come with a stand and frankly they are hella attractive
The only thing you are giving up with these is the ability to change weights really quickly Don t get me wrong it doesn t take that long and if I was motivated I could do it in a few seconds But if you are doing something like a set of 12 10 8 6 4 and then immediately grabbing a heavier weight after the 4 to work the same muscle with a different exercise Body for Life style you would have to come up with an alternate solution
I also want to mention I bought the bench in some type of combo deal I wasn t able to tell from the web how sturdy this bench was going to be but all the ones I tried out at the stores seemed to be pretty flimsy I hate to sound like a kiss a but this is a club quality bench I am close to 230 lbs right now not by any means all muscle and 6 4 It completely supports me is easy to adjust and is well designed Keep in mind if you want to do decline work you will need the situp attachment Not because you need it but because of the way the bench works It only goes into incline position so what you have to do is put the situp attachment on the top so you have something to put your feet onto Bam instant decline
My honest opinion is whoever invented these things has revolutionized the dumbbell I like them so much half of me wishes I could be some kind of east coast distributor I can t imagine a better adjustable dumbbell

Powerblocks Bowflex selecttechs golds gym titanweights ironman lever lock probell or xvest I found out one thing after looking at all these designs You can have quick change but not without changing the physical look or design of the dumbbell If the quick change is sacrificed to some extent you will have a near perfect dumbell which is IronMaster dumbbell
powerblocks titanweights are a snap in changing the weights but both have kind of boxed design Bowflex goldsgym probell ironman suffer from rattling
Besides both the above category dumbbells are not 100 suited for some exercises or atleast scare the users that something may fall off or hurt them bench presses skull crushers etc Ironmaster dumbbells are the only ones which feel 1000 not a typo safe in any traditional dumbbells exercises
BUT only serious caveat is that changing weight does take some time as the weight plates come in 5 pounds If you have to change from 20 pound dumbbell to 55 pound dumbell you have to do some math like 55 20 35/5 7 so need to add 7 five pound plates to one dumbell This you need to do it such a way that 4 go on one side and 3 on the other side of a dumbbell Since you have to change two dumbells for any exercise you have to add 4 plates on to one side and 3 on the other side for another dumbbell too
This sounds very slow but it isnt still it is much slow compared to changing weights on any of the above mentioned dumbbells But once you change the weight and have the dumbbells ready they are BOMB proof They dont rattle dont restrict any movement can place them sideways which you cant do with some of the other dumbbells on your thigh drop them on floor dont need to place the dumbbells on a specific platform and have to put down somewhere to switch between hands etc Bottom line is for a little sacrifice in changing time you get tons of other advantages and these are AS CLOSE to the traditional dumbbells as you can possible get
Finally price wise they are very competitive cheap and combined with their super bench which is REALLY THE BEST WEIGHT BENCH out there you cannot possibly go wrong They have a LIFE time warranty on their dumbbells which come with a stand/rack included
For super heavy lifters ironmasters are expandable to 120 pounds per hand and beyond I guess 160 pounds or something
Finally they are cheaper on their home page than amazon sorry amazon
