I ve only had this for about a week now So I ll leave no long term opinions However I am impressed with the quality of the bike so far Assembly was not hard I am a handy person and that may have helped but please note that when my wife asked how it was going and I said real good she was amazed I m normally very irate while putting things together because most companies give terrible instructions Schwinn knows what s going on
The bike went together nicely with the included tools No I didn t run to the garage to bust out my good tools The included tools are very capable
The bike is solid and the seat adjustment works well enough The pedal action is smooth and even and quiet The computer is simple enough with a small bit of study
I dislike exercise However I thought it was time to get a bit healthier I forced myself to buy a bike and surprisingly I find myself actually enjoying the exercise time I ve pedaled with MP3 player cranking some tunes and with a PSP playing TV shows
My only complaint is that the seat is a bit hard after 30 minutes of working out My wife has not complained though I do like the lumbar support in the seat back Subtle but effective
All in all a very good purchase I think

Very well packaged no damage some UPS roughness obvious but everything was in great shape Well closed taped with protective strapping Put this together in under an hour easy Have exercised on it 5 days straight love the comfort smoothness silent running and looks I found it shifts between levels of resistance very smoothly almost can t tell it shifts read some reviews that said it wasn t smooth This one is smooth Wrote to Schwinn email when I couldn t find their website using the address they supplied Their postcard for registration has the wrong website listed they misspell their own address giving when its schwinn 2 n s You d think they d catch and fix that Found them after guessing at it registered the purchase for the warranty Told them the computer is very poor for user friendly ratings Works fine but only for Quick Start then you just punch in levels of resistance as you desire Can t enter different users can t even find the various programs Suggested to them they re invent a better computer and ship everyone a new one Asked them to reply with their comments to me Haven t heard back yet But still think this bike does better for getting the exercise you want Like the heart rate monitor works quite well so you re aware of how hard you re working Prior to buying I read up on a lot of other bikes so I had an idea that the computer wasn t so good figured maybe others just couldn t figure it out they were right it needs upgrading to get the benefits they state it has Have to live with the poor quality computer they give you I like it and just punch in my resistance levels

I purchased this bike in order to have an indoor activity I could do that would get my heart rate up but not make too much noise Previously I have tried various DVD or video game based workout programs and because I live in an upstairs apartment I am always very conscious of having to jump up and down or run in place and potentially disturbing my neighbors This bike was the perfect solution to my problem
I have had the bike for almost 2 months and I use it 5 6 times a week about 30 45 min at a time and so far there have been no issues I have it set up in my front room so I can easily watch TV or play video games while riding which makes the workouts fly by I have been surprised how quiet the bike is If I place the resistance setting about 7 or above and have my apartment completely silent I can hear an incredibly faint noise coming from the bike but as I always have something audio on while I ride it is a complete non issue to me
Originally I was very hesitant about buying an exercise bike online because when I would try them out in stores sometimes I wouldn t fit because I am 6 5 But with this bike I don t even have the seat all the way back and I fit great However my girlfriend is just under 5 tall and the seat doesn t go close enough for her so if you are right around that height keep that in mind
Like other reviewers mentioned the bike took me about 1 5 hours to put together alone I took my time in order to not smash any of the wiring and to make sure I only had to do it once I imagine with 2 people it would be faster
Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anybody looking for a mid priced recumbent bike the bike is sturdy and feels like it will last a long time And most importantly I fit
