Sevylor Inflatable Colorado Canoe Blue
>> Great canoe for the small price
The canoe is easy to inflate and the handles on each side and each end make it s 32 Lbs weight very easy to carry My 11 y/o daughter and I easily carried it through the woods and over some fallen trees and brush to get to our pond Within a few minutes with kayak paddles I was able to keep it going straight and fast
Each removable seat has a detachable over sized mesh fanny pack to hold stuff It can easily be taken off and attached to your waist That part is not even advertised The seats can be cinched up very tight for forward support The canoe has plenty of spots to secure gear with rope or D rings Kayak paddles seem to work real good with the wider side wall compared to a rigid canoe
I would not try to challenge the 500 Lbs weight limit although I am sure it could handle it It s a great recreational but versatile little craft and I very much recommend it
>> Better than expected
I purchased the Colorado for travel We can t fit our regular kayaks on our camper The Colorado comes with a lot of extras not advertised like removable gear bags on the back of the seats that convert to fanny packs and a wet bag The seats are like regular kayak seats adjustable and very comfortable with good back support With the skeg the kayak paddles in a straight line There are no instructions for installing the skeg You must install it before the kayak is inflated by folding the bottom to bring the two black knobs closer together The skeg points insert from the outsides of the knobs When the kayak is inflated the skeg is locked on I also purchased the Sevylor pump a good addition The pump comes with all the right attachments and includes a pressure gauge so you can inflate the kayak to the proper pressure without over inflating it It is a higher pressure than I would have risked without the gauge Proper inflation makes the kayak stiff and makes it paddle much easier My wife is 6 1 and she had good leg room in front At 32 lbs it is easy to move It has handles front and back and on both sides There are numerous tie points and it comes with paddle holders on both sides I have not tried the motor but I like the fact that it is an option I am very pleased with it
>> Nice craft
Lightweight so one person can manage to/from the car If its windy an anchor 5lb min is required to stay put and fish
I haven t used the skeg yet cause it tracks well You just have to have a rhythm when paddling
It is a great platform for solo fishing Just make sure you put some weight on the bow area to keep it level
You can modify the craft with some homemade additions like an anchor trolley wood floor section to stand up and a bench seat so you can seat in the middle of the craft and fish higher Make sure you sand the edges and cover them to prevent rips
I do hate the pinch type valves for the floor and seats It is a problem when inflating and deflating
Overall is a good craft for lakes ponds and general freshwater Just make sure you keep the propper PSI
