I know this is one of those things technically my fault for not reading but seriously this thing tops out at 6 mph I weigh 165 PBS and it feels like it s about to shatter under my weght even at the slow slow pace I guess if you re a senior citizen looking for a walk it is ideal Otherwise the sidewalk is faster than this treadmill

I purchased this in December 2009 so that I could begin a walking program I used it twice and the belt was slipping underneath my feet both times The third time I used it I tried to center the belt according to the instructions now the belt moves while you walk Needless to say I have not been walking
I believed in the five star reviews and the demonstration I saw on a television shopping channel but I wish I had went onto the Better Business Bureau website a lot sooner There were 43 complaints had I know I would still have my money
Now I m stuck with a treadmill which will probably need to be repaired each time I use the machine

Purchased and received my treadmill April 1st It s been sitting on my living room floor unopened because it arrived with the locking mechanism stuck I had to leave a message with tech support and wait to get a call back Three hours later they returned my phone call They gave me the option to ship me replacement parts break the plastic and install the new locking mechanism myself no thanks what if I break the wrong thing or wait for a technician to contact me Technician contacts me four days later No replacement parts were sent to him to come to my house to replace the locking mechanism Still waiting to hear back from the technician I m calling him today If this doesn t get resolved by next Friday I m returning this and not getting another one It s not worth the frustration More updates to follow
April 11th Still no word from a technician and tech support is closed on the weekends Out of sheer frustration I forced the unit opened breaking a plastic thing on the base I didn t care at that point I removed the obstructing plastic object which appears to have become bent while shipping and was preventing the locking mechanism from disengaging and now the right side locks and unlocks as it was meant to So I greased it up and let it run for an hour as I was told I ve been on it a total of three hours since I got it opened today
PROS It runs exceptionally quietly I tried toying with the first program but my skill level and rather short stature does not allow me to go any faster than 4mph right now so I stuck with the manual settings on 3 5 It fits in my rather small room well and I can manage storing it away It s the perfect size for what I was looking for and the perfect functionality I haven t tried the speakers yet
CONS The belt tends to shift to the right when i walk on it but stays centered when I m not on it testing centering at 1mph Odd but so far not a problem The heart rate monitor readings are all over the place The plastic casing immediately in front of the belt seems to get pressed down when closed and when I start the treadmill up it drags on the belt and makes an awful noise until i push it up
Overall I feel like I got what I paid for Not top of the line that s for sure but it s serving it s purpose I m going to walk every day now I hope it stays in tact long enough
