I can t see how anyone could be disappointed in this product I have a switchback 25 that I have loved and has traveled literally around the world With recent fees for checked baggage I needed a 22 The bag is awesome The new model has a laptop sleeve and is perfect for carrying a laptop Airlines will let you carry on a personal item laptop and the bag So what do I love about the bag First they are extremely durable The 25 I have had for five years and shows little wear The sole patches are sturdy and effective at preventing the corner rips seen with cheaper carry on bags The detachable backpack is awesome Zip it on when traveling through airports and use it as a daypack at your destination One of the things that has been improved with the newest version is the handle on the bottom The previous model only had finger indentations The new one has a full sturdy handle on the bottom I love and need shoulder straps This has saved me so many times hiking Japan subway stairs and those other situations where you cannot just roll a bag to your room stairs off the beaten path rooms gravel drives etc I also really like the waist belt with the shoulder straps I always look for a waist belt distributes weight evenly and makes a pack so much more comfortable It is not a primary backpack for hiking but extremely versatile in more challenging environments I love love love Eagle Creek and since have purchased a duffel ORV trunk and the pack it cubes Last thing How awesome is a repair policy that covers the item NO MATTER WHAT

This thing is just awesome Very high quality construction and it was designed very intelligently
My trip to Europe is a few months away but I can tell that this is going to be the perfect bag It s just small enough that you don t have to check it has a separate zip off back pack which is pretty high quality itself and be rolled worn on your back or carried like a normal suitcase I ll try to update my review after my trip I m sure I ll have a lot more to say after living out of this thing for 3 weeks
